Brain Waves Yoga Class & Presentation at
Maine Brain Aneurysm Awareness Support Group
hosted by Dave McCausland & Casey Rogers

May 28, 2026
from 6 - 7:30 PM (EST)
Reconnect & Recalibrate:
An Introduction to Brain Waves Yoga
We invite you to a special demonstration class designed specifically for brain aneurysm survivors to explore the science and serenity of Brain Waves Yoga.

Unlike a traditional fitness class, this session focuses on gentle, intentional movements and neuro-meditation techniques aimed at balancing the mind-body connection. By integrating rhythmic breathing with targeted poses, we work to soothe the nervous system and encourage neuroplasticity in a safe, supportive environment. Alongside our physical practice, we will explore practical tools for daily life, including understanding your "window of tolerance" and learning how to manage your daily "energy bucket" to prevent burnout.

What to Expect:
-
Accessible Movement: Gentle sequences that can be adapted for all mobility levels.
-
Neurological Focus: Techniques designed to help shift the brain from a state of "fight or flight" into deep restoration.
-
Mindful Energy Management: A guided discussion on expanding your window of tolerance and managing your energy bucket to better navigate post-recovery fatigue and stress.
-
Sensory Awareness: A calm, low-stimulation setting tailored to those managing sensory sensitivities.
-
Community Support: A chance to practice alongside others who understand the unique journey of recovery.

Whether you are months or years into your recovery, come discover how shifting your internal frequency can lead to external peace. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
Support group meetings are held virtually the Last Thursday of the month, from 6 – 7:30 pm.
